What do you do with your instruments after you graduate and pass boards? Do you sell them or do you use them when you start practicing?

I kept my instruments from school. I’ve actually used them to clean my dog’s teeth! I take them to the office to be sterilized after I do such OCD things!

Unfortunately my school made us pay an instrument fee but we never got to keep the instruments:(

I kept mine and used them in my practice, even though my Dr pays for instruments. I never thought about selling them to another student. Good idea! Of course that would depend on the condition they were in.

I used mine at my work. They will eventually get old and out dated and might as well use them. You paid for them. My job always supplies all that I want and need, but I contributed some too.

I am planing on keeping mine after school. You never know when you will need them and you never know what kind of instruments you will have in practice.

I used mine to help transition into an office after school. They had everything I needed, but not being familiar with everything else is stressful enough. Having familiar instruments really just allowed me to do what I know and do it well. Eventually, I used the office instruments but until I was comfortable I used my own!
