Bitewings on patients missing teeth

How would you take bitewings on patients with missing teeth? I am a new hygienist and i haven’t encountered this yet and would like to be prepared.

Great question! If a patient has a missing tooth (or teeth) and its effecting the placement of a bitewing or PA, use a cotton roll where the missing tooth/teeth is to support the tab or sensor/film holder. I hope this helps!
