Dentrix Help

I used Dentrix over the two years that I was in Hygiene school and now I have a job that uses Dentrix as well. However, it’s formatted COMPLETELY different! Everything is there, it’s just really different looking for me. I’m finding that notes/procedure codes are kind of hidden. I have only had a bit of hands on with this, as I just barely started, but I wanted to know if there is a resource that will allow me to read up more on Dentrix at home so I can feel more prepared the next time I go in. Thanks!

P.S. I JUST found a bunch of great stuff on Youtube for anyone else struggling. Other resources are still more than welcome!

If you know your practice’s dentrix ID number, (and zip code, which is of course a little easier) you can log onto the resource center on dentrix.com. They have a search function that answers just about any question I’ve been able to come up with. Along with hygiene, I’m also in charge of the computers at our office, and that website has been a godsend. I’ve found that dentrix gets even more user-friendly with each version they release, just takes some getting used to. What version are you running?

I believe dentrix software always comes with a tutorial CD. Ask your office manager to borrow it sometime its a great way to catch up at home and come back to work ready to kick butt!
