Fluoride safety articles

I have recently been asked about the safety of using fl2 toothpastes and applications in the dental office. Patients have brought up the “toxic” effects of fl2 in the body and I would like to have some recent research to back up being a fl2 advocate. Any links of recent peer reviewed fl2 research you would recommend reading?

When patients ask about the safety of fluoride or mention fluoride is “toxic,” I like to educate about how fluoride is a naturally-occurring substance which is even found in foods and beverages they eat.
Here’s a link to a list of foods and beverages that naturally contain fluoride: http://nutritiondata.self.com/foods-000146000000000000000.html

I also like to explain how anything at certain levels can be toxic. Even too much water can be toxic.

Here are a few resources about fluoride safety:

If you do a Google search for “Fluoride safety scholarly articles,” several studies are available. I hope this helps a bit!
