Hands-free perio charting?

We are looking into different options for hands-free perio charting for the office. The R. A. T. wasn’t a big hit when we had it for the trial period so either a newer version of that or something would be something we are interested in. Our office is quite large so for any voice-activated one, are there any that are easy to use with background noise? Thanks!

Voice activated perio charting is awesome! Personally, I’ve never had a problem with background noise in small offices, big offices, and even during clinic in hygiene school. There are many different options for voice activated perio charting. Many dental software companies (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, etc.) have voice activated options that integrate with the software and existing patient charts. Or there are additional software programs that you can add to your existing dental software (Vocal Mouse, DenChart, etc.). It just depends how your office wants to integrate the software. Many you can try before you buy so your office can find the option that works best for the office’s needs.

Thanks, Kara! We will look into those options for sure. We have dentrix and put out an email asking what they have out right now that would be compatible.
