Instrumentation Camps?

I am finishing my first year of hygiene school, and ever since we started using our Ultrasonics, I rarely use my hand instruments. I know this is a bad habit to get into so early in the program/my career, but the Ultrasonic is so much easier and I really am not the best at hand instrumentation. Does anyone know of any sort of instrumentation camps or any sort of one-on-one instruction we can get outside of school?

Thanks!

There are workshops for instrumentation at dental conferences once in a while, but they are nothing like the instruction and one-on-one you receive during the hygiene program. During hygiene school is when you should be mastering those skills so by the time you graduate, it’s like second nature.

Following ultrasonic instrumentation, hand scaling should always take place. Please don’t get in the habit of not completing this very important step in patient care!
