My new office sells the Sonicare Air Floss and I have never used one. Just curious any thoughts/reviews on this product?

I have some patients who like this product. I spoke w our sonicare rep about this (she is amazing and is a hyg. Herself) she said that it was not designed for anyone w pocketing above 3mm. She said it was good for ppl w healthy tissue who just need to floss. I don’t personally recommend it much because most people have at leat a few loc. 4mm pockets.

I tried one once and I’m not that big of a fan. The air pressure is a lot for your gingival tissue. I could see how it may be damaging to patients tissue who are not educated on proper use. I recommend flossing and a waterpik over an air flosser any day.

I tried it and did not like it. If you are young and have nice tight papilla filled embrasures the blast of air/water won’t make it through.
