Studying For Boards

Hi all,

I am in my final semester of my Bachelor’s program and I need some advice. I am little overwhelmed at the thought of taking a 350 question board followed by a clinical patient board, and 150 question clinical computerized exam – not to mention also the outstanding clinical requirements for school but that’s another story. I was wondering, for those who are already licensed and have taken the NBDHE, and the CDCA computer simulated clinical exam – how did you prepare? I keep hearing people telling me to divide up sections and organize an agenda to review topics each week but I just don’t know. Suggestions?

I think the suggestions you have gotten are great! Personally, I took a board review class which not only went over pertinent information but condensed it. The board review instructor also gave us a condensed book to study. There are also websites and apps to help prepare you for boards like StudentRDH.com. There are also dental decks (which are like flash cards) you can study from. Whichever you choose depends on your learning style. Best of luck on your boards!
