When doctor takes vacation all staff is paid for time off except hygiene

Our doctor has started to take three 1-2 weeks vacations per year. I just found out that he pays the assistants and front desk for the time off but not hygiene. How would you handle something like this? We were hurt that he doesn’t think we are part of the team and don’t deserve to be paid something when he chooses to take off all the time. Thank you!

This sure sounds unfair! It sounds like the hygienists in the office need to have a sit down and express their concerns with the doctor. That’s about all you can do.
