California Continuing Education

I live in the state of California. I was wondering of the 25 CEU’s, how many are expected to be “live”? And are certain courses/requirements preferred to be live or not?

I don’t practice in California, but what I have found is: “Dental Hygienist: 25 CE hours (12 can be taken online or through correspondence required courses are: 2 hours of California Infection Control, 2 hours of California Dental Practice Act, and CPR is required in the classroom) required every two years – due by individuals birthday, every other year.” When it comes to licensing I always recommending contacting your state’s dental board, as they set the rules so they should have answers regarding them! Always remember that it is your duty to know your state’s dental practice act!

In California, we are not allowed more then 12 CEU’s taken online, so you can do all 25 live if you wish but not the other way around… Also CPR/BLS, Infection Control and Dental Practice Act and required courses!
