ergonomic dental chair

Please give me some of your opinions about an ergonomic dental chair. I know that not many dental office have that expensive chair, but that chair they said it has lumbar support it is helping your back when siting to work! I wonder if I buy it it is hard to bring to the office! too expensive cannot afford it! thanks a lot

When it comes to an operator chair, you need one that fits you specifically. What works for one hygienist won’t necessarily work for you. My best advice would be to go to a dental convention and try as many company’s chairs out as you can. Saddle stools seem to be the way most hygienists are going as far as ergonomics. There’s many articles online regarding saddle stools lately. You get what you pay for, and I feel prolonging your career is priceless. As far as it being “hard to bring into the office,” they aren’t so heavy that this should be a problem.
