Facebook Page?

Hello-
I am wanting to create a separate FB page for work related/job search reasons. Has anyone created a “professional” facebook page for these purposes or do most just use their personal page?

My experience in creating a Facebook page is that it should be done with a specific goal in mind. For me personally, I really wanted to build a community of dental hygienists where we could all share our thoughts, learn something new, and hopefully have some fun! It was never to make something about me for job search reasons. I have been fortunate enough to be presented with some wonderful opportunities as a result of my Facebook page, so I’m very thankful for that, but that was never the original intention. If you are looking for a specific place to have an online presence for job search reasons, I recommend creating a LinkedIn profile. This allows you to put your resume online. I also recommend checking out indeed.com, as it aggregates job postings from a bunch of different sites all in one place. DDSConnections.com also has a lot of dental related jobs listed. Post your resume there so you can get notified of any jobs available in your area. I think I got a little off topic on what you asked, but I hope this helps in your job search!

You could create a professional FB page and then turn your personal page off to any searches so prospected employers only find the professional page.
