Forced to stay after hours to make calls while on commission pay with no base rate

Hello, I am a dental hygienist who works strictly commission with no base pay while everyone else in the office is hourly. The office regional managers are requesting that one day a week everyone in the office stays after hours to call 30 recall patients. While we make these calls everyone else in the office will be paid for their time while I will not. I can’t help but feel like it is not right to not get paid for my time like everyone else when making these calls since they are requiring me to stay afterwards. I’m just wanting some feedback on what you think.

While you do need patients in the chair so you can be paid, it is not right to have you work without being paid. Of course I’m not a lawyer, but I’m pretty sure it’s against the Fair Labor Standards Act to “force” you to work without at least making minimum wage.
