Hygiene bonus

In my office our current bonus system is 30 percentage of collections minus our base hourly pay. We have several hygienists who all make the same percentage but have different hourly pay. My question is which is more standard, percentage earned from gross production, adjusted production or collections? Also is pto/holiday pay included in the total pay when figuring the bonus. Thanks!

The industry standard, and more fair in my opinion, is to be paid based of gross production, not collections. You have no control over what the office collects, but still did the work.
As far as PTO, vacation, etc. being calculated into total pay, that really spans the board from office to office, from my experience.
