Doctor with poor infection control

If you saw a doctor (that you recently became employed by) drop gloves onto dirty instruments and then pick of the gloves and put them back into the box, how would you handle this situation?

If I was comfortable with the doc I would say, “Are you kidding me, you just contaminated that entire box of gloves!” But I’m guessing you’re not at that level yet! 😉 If I didn’t feel up to confronting him, I would probably quietly throw out the box of gloves the minute he left the room. What did you end up doing?

This was literally the second week I had worked with him, so I didnt feel comfortable enough, plus he’s a huge jerk, 70 years old, and is never going to change. He sees no fault in his ways. I threw the box away…. and the next week I told his partner (who can’t stand him) what happened..he didnt believe me! Said he must not have realized he dropped them on dirty instruments. Im no longer employed there
