Job opportunity outside of clinical hygiene.

I have the opportunity to become a sales rep for a new dental company. I would continue to work as a hygienist M-R, but would work a booth at dental conventions and slowly build accounts by visiting other dental offices. (Lunch and learn). I’m not sure what the pay will be. The company currently employs one dental assistant as a rep. I’m not sure what I should be prepared to ask for hourly pay?

Many dental reps are paid a base salary, then a commission on top of that. Wages for any job position tend to vary by location. So it might be a good idea to search for dental rep jobs in your area (Craigslist, Indeed, etc.) and see what they pay to give you a better idea. I’m sorry there isn’t a one size fits all answer!
