Letter to patients about going back to school

After 10 years at my office I’ve decided to go back to school. My boss wants me to write a short letter to my pts for the receptionist to have at the counter and give to any pts that ask about me. How should I word this? Any examples of such a letter online you have come across? Thank you.

I wasn’t able to find any examples of something like this online, but I’d write something short and sweet that explains your decision to go back to school.
Something along the lines of this: After 10 years of working at a wonderful office, I made the difficult decision to go back to school to further my education. I really enjoyed my time at the office and the patients I was able to meet, but the time has come for me to move on. I have nothing but the utmost respect for Dr. XXX and my co-workers and I wish them and the patients the very best.
This is assuming you aren’t returning to the office. You know your situation so the best letter will come from you. Best of luck in school!
