Maxillary injections: sites and amount of anesthetic

How many carpules do most of you use to anesthetize a half mouth S/RP? And where are your injection sites on the maxillary? I’m having trouble keeping my patients numb lately!

For a half mouth s/rp i will use 2 carps. Mandibular is IA or Gow Gates injection which uses 1 carp. Maxillary i give a IO injection and PSA injection which uses 1 carp (1/2 a carp for each injection). Sometimes palatal injections are needed but not always. A good way to review insertion points for anesthesia is going on youtube and searching for instructional videos for each injection.
