Nomad Safety

Maybe because it’s been engrained into my head you need to step out of the room when taking radiographs, but I still have a hard time using the nomad hand held X-ray unit. I think it’s not safe for me? Any thoughts or proof it’s safe?

I don’t have any proof, but I feel the same way. Why should we be okay just because it’s less radiation? Isn’t it the scatter radiation that is most harmful? I’m just glad we don’t have them in my current office.
