Office manager duties

My office has no office manager and hygiene schedule is very slow. I am wanting to propose becoming a part time office manager and part time hygienist but I do not know what all I should plan on being responsible for?

Office managers take care of all of the administrative (front office) duties. Some of the responsibilities include:
Office accounting and office budgeting
Insurance verification
Insurance billing
Patient appointments
Explaining treatment plans
Staff scheduling
Arranging staff meetings if needed
These are just some of the responsibilities of an office manager. If you do a Google search for “dental office manager responsibilities” links come up with descriptions that may have more duties than I listed.
