Never let a child go to bed with a bottle of juice or milk. If they must have a bottle at bedtime it should only be water to help prevent bottle rot. I think this is one of the biggest things mothers should know with young children.

If they don’t have fluoridated water suggest fluoride supplements. In my community we don’t have fluoridated water and the early childhood caries are rampant. It is so sad seeing the children with bombed out teeth. Stress the importance of regular visits and they start when the child turns one.
