I have been asked about oil pulling lately. I did a small amount of research months ago and read it works like swishing with clorhexidine but it’s the natural approach. I, myself have done it about three times and found it hard to do lol I lasted 5 min and you are suppose to swish for 15/20. Benefits: whiten teeth, rid of bad breath, antibacterial, rid of toxins, make gums healthier, rid of incipient caries, rid of head aches. Has anyone done advanced research and really know if this is good to recommend? What do you tell your “all natural” patients?
We have an all natural patient as well who refuses to have tx done because he thinks his enamel will grow back. *face palm

Instead take 5 minutes dry brushing with a mouthwatchers Nano toothbrush and take a few minutes flossing. Why waste time swishing for 20 minutes. The only reason people improved using oil pulling is because they stepped up and did more during their oral hygiene regimen. Research dry brushing until your teeth taste and feel clean. It works!
