Period maint

I just had a pt. Perio Maintenance and his last probe reading were generalized 3-4 mm pocket depth. With localized 5mm on posterior from wisdoms. This particular office asked me to just spot check each pt. But when I started to probe this pt reading were 6-7mm pocketing on most of his posteriors (buccal and lingual) with active bleeding. This pt comes in every 4 months. I suggested a SRP due to the readings from the past not being anywhere near what they were when I probed. The DDS completely ignored what I suggested and placed him still on the 4 mrc. Was I wrong In my diagnosis?

From your description, it doesn’t sound like you were wrong. It seems like this patient has active disease and should be treated as such!
