Periodex in conjunction with Periomed

I’m starting at a new office and they sell a kit after SRP for periodontal therapy. The kit includes a fluoride toothpaste such as Prevident, Peridex used 2x a day morning and night and Periomed. I have only used one or the other for my patients depending on their need. My question is, when should they use the Periomed? They need to wait 30 min after Peridex so should Periomed be used after they finish the Peridex or in conjunction with?

Both prevident and periomed? That seems a bit much…also, what is the rationale for using fluoride post SRP besides transient sensitivity? If I were to do both a chlorhexidine rinse and fluoride I would have them swish with the CHX morning and evening and then prevident at bedtime. Patient compliance can be so difficult though, adding too many changes at once can often be overwhelming for the patient.
