I have been told by a cross infection expert that apparently you can’t wash off all the microbes from the nail polish because of some kind of statics..?. But I still wear it – washing hands makes my nails dry and they peel, which I find less hygienic and aesthetically pleasing than wearing a nail polish, as long as it is not chipped. I keep my nails short and neat so it doesn’t look to dressed up. I didn’t ask my boss – I just explain to him why I do it if he ever asks.
