I’m a recent 2015 graduate with my associates of applied science in dental hygiene. I passed my national boards, but unfortunately missed passing my state boards by 3 points. I will re-take my state boards in July 2015. I want to start applying for jobs but not sure if I should wait until passing my exam to apply for a hygiene position. I understand that I will not be able to practice until passing my boards and obtaining my licensure but I want to get the ball rolling so to speak. Do I tell a possible employer that I did not pass or do I simply say I will be taking my state boards in July? Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated!
