Restorative hygiene pay

I am currently working in WA state as hygienist. My doc would like to start incorporating restorative one day a week for me.

Should my pay be different that one day? We have a meeting this week about starting it. Should I be asking for commission or more per hour?

What do other hygienist do?

First you will want to know what the average wage is for your area. Here is a link: https://fortress.wa.gov/esd/employmentdata/reports-publications/occupational-reports/occupations-in-demand
Find your county and it will give you average wages. I’m in Oregon, so I don’t have an exact answer for this (hopefully someone else will!). Considering you are required to have a restorative license to work in Washington, there may be no difference in pay whether you actually do restorative or not. This is a great question, I’m interested in what other hygienists do too!
