Resume tips

After 10+ years at the same office I am putting my resume together. Right now my resume seems very generic, and doesn’t hilight things that employers may be looking for. I don’t know how to properly word info about being very gentle and requested and liked by patients. I also wonder how I can figure my production, and how to word that as well. Any suggestions?

Your cover letter would be a great place for these things, don’t be afraid to be confident about your rapport with patients.
If the office you are at uses computer charting and billing, your production should be easy to get a hold of. 🙂

I agree with Sue that your cover letter is a great place to put the things you mentioned. One way to have your resume instantly stand out is to add a head shot of yourself to the top of the resume. When a doctor or office manager is flipping through a stack of resumes, this will grab their attention. For specific wording, you can write something in a summary about yourself along the lines of, “Top performing hygienist who is a favorite among patients due to a gentle hand and strong focus on education.” I wish you the best of luck in your job search!
