I have used 3 different piezo types. Each type has more than one compatible brand. There is the Satelec type (ACTEON Satelec, Vista, Brasseler NSK Varios, Hu Friedy Symmetry), the EMS type (I don’t know the different brands; this system did not feel as precise to me as Satelec so I nixed it), and another.

I have used several of the Satelec types, and I have found their tips to be the thinnest and best shaped of all the piezo systems (Satelec H3, H4R/L, H2 R/L, and the hybrid supra / perio tip). They make a wonderful fine diamond tip that is great for removing the most tenacious and bulky calculus as well. Sorry I didn’t answer earlier. I see the date of your post is old. I just now found this site and logged in for the first time.
