sending resume through pdf attachtment or type resume in the body?

please help to clear out this topic or please give your opinions so there are more chance the dentist or hiring manager can receive & read the resume , then more chance to get interview or jobs. Thank you very much.

if the hygienist ad job does not say anything about the specific sending resume, should one go ahead & send cover letter & resume through Pdf attachment ( since this way pretty sure to protect your pretty cover & resume other wise it comes out the worst ugly format resume if sending through other way like words….) Should one ask please confirm they receive my cover letter & resume. one did ask this sometimes but never heard back to confirm!
if the ad say type the resume in the body of email then do it ?
thank you

Personally, I send my cover letter in the body of the email and attach my resume in PDF format, unless otherwise specified (like as a Word document). I’ve never had a job ask to type out the resume in the body of the email. I wouldn’t ask them to confirm receipt, they are busy, and it may come off as you being needy and high maintenance. Remember, they may be getting dozens, if not hundreds of emails, replying to the job position. They simply can’t reply to all. If the email doesn’t go through, your email should let you know.
