SRP treatment phone calls

The dentist I work for is a newly established practice and she asked me, the only hygienist employed, to start making phone calls a day or two in advance for patients who have been diagnosed with needing 4 Quads SRP. During their first visit we have explained that the patient has periodontal disease and this periodontal therapy is required and what the treatment entails. Does anyone do this in their office and if so, what type of narrative/script do you use for the phone calls? I want to sound professional but yet be able to explain the treatment needed in a matter that the patients will understand it.

We do calls after SRP. I would worry that some patients may feel pressured if you’ve already spent time educating them. Maybe ask if they have any questions or concerns about the upcoming scheduled SRP appointment
