Trying to take my job?

I went home for Christmas & had 2 temps fill in for me. When I got back my office told me they were giving her my Thursday to bring in one of them & that put me down to working 2 days a week, thankfully I found another office for one day a week. They tried to tell me they weren’t cutting my hours that it was only temporary but here we are in basically April & there’s no sight of me getting my Thursday back. She’s actually there Wednesday & Thursdays now. I’m frustrated because I know patients like me & it makes me feel like I’m not good enough for the office. Anyone else dealt with this?

I should add they brought her in because her production for Arestin,etc. was like triple mine. They push it but I only prefer to use it when my patients really need it because I am not sure if I believe it in it yet or not.

I haven’t dealt with this personally, but I know of hygienists who have. It’s a cowardly way for an office to get you to quit. You need to ask yourself if you want to stay at this office. If so, you need to have a sit down with the doctor and/or office manager and have an honest conversation about the situation. If they continue to beat around the bush, I think you have your answer.
 
To push treatment solely based on production is unethical, which makes it illegal. This is a slippery slope the office is allowing. I’m not sure you even want to be apart of that, I certainly wouldn’t. Treatment should be based on need, period.
