I read the article you posted about the waterlines on your Kara RDH page. I am having some concerns about the new office I started at. They choose to use Distilled water with no other cleaning agent. I also asked about a weekly/monthly shock. They use a product ( forgot the name of it right now) at the end of each week, as a cleaning agent. But when I asked if they ever do a waterline test for microorganisms they stated that they never have.
I am just curious on what the exact guidelines are for dental water lines.

Thanks for reading my article! As I stated in the article, the CDC sets the guidelines. The link to CDC guidelines is: http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/PDF/rr/rr5217.pdf
Dental unit waterline guidelines begin on page 28. I hope this helps!
