What’s the best answer to give in a job interview when they ask why you want to leave your other office? I don’t want to sound like I’m putting any offices down :-/

I absolutely dread this question at interviews. I usually say something along the lines of.. I dont want to talk bad about my current office but I just feel it is time for me to move on. They are usually pretty understanding when I say it like that.

I’d say something along the lines of you were happy to have worked there and used the office as a growing/learning experience but you realized it was time to move on to another office.

I try to be as honest as possible without giving in-depth details. I figure if the office I am interviewing with doesn’t understand or appreciate my honesty, it may not be a good fit for me anyway.

“I’m so happy for the opportunity to have worked there, and have been grateful for the learning experience. I am looking for new opportunities and a better work environment.” I say be honest but don’t just drag on about how horrible the office was.
